About Me
Dr. Mary Elizabeth Landau is a highly accomplished, dual board-certified dermatopathologist with over 30 years of experience providing expert diagnostic care. She graduated summa cum laude from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science before earning her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, where she graduated in the top five percent of her class.
Dr. Landau completed her residency and fellowship training in dermatopathology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, under the mentorship of renowned dermatopathologist Dr. Mark Wick. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and Pathology in Dermatopathology and by the American Board of Pathology in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Landau has held leadership roles including Chairman of the Pathology Department at Scottsdale Healthcare and President of Scottsdale Pathology Consultants. She currently serves as the Medical Director and Expert Pathologist for Corinthian Reference Laboratory, a nationally recognized lab specializing in epidermal nerve fiber density testing.
In addition to authoring peer-reviewed journal articles, Dr. Landau has co-authored two medical textbook chapters and contributed medical illustrations to several others. Over her career, she has made diagnostic interpretations of well over 100,000 cases, bringing unmatched precision and insight to her work.
Raised in Huntington, West Virginia, Dr. Landau is passionate about advancing dermatopathology through accuracy, collaboration, and innovation. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and horseback riding.
