Sophia Au-Stenger is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.
She completed her undergraduate education at Mount Union University in Alliance, Ohio. She obtained her Masters in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a clinical clerkship through Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, and VA Medical Centers. She worked in Detroit for years at a busy dermatology practice with affiliations and privileges at St. John Macomb Hospital. She also performed research as an investigator in many clinical trials for skin care treatments.
Sophia moved to Arizona in 2010. She has been practicing in Dermatology for almost 14 years. She is an active member in the Arizona Dermatology Physician Assistant Society, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has been a preceptor to many Physician Assistant programs. She enjoys all facets of dermatology including medical and cosmetic dermatology and treats all general dermatological conditions in both adults and children. Sophia performs many procedures including biopsies, skin scrapings, wart removal, botox and fillers.
Sophia’s hobbies include traveling, hiking, cooking, fitness, crafting, jewelry making and watching sports. She is a big fan of Ohio State football and Cleveland teams. She speaks Cantonese and some Spanish.
